pg ok Cricket Betting — T20 to Test — bet on every format
Make every moment of BPL, IPL, and international cricket more enjoyable with pg ok's cricket betting markets. Understand the odds, know the markets, make your own decisions.
Three cricket formats and popular tournaments
Before betting on cricket, it is important to understand the format, because the strategy and type of result differ across each one.
T20: This 20-over format is the fastest. The result can change on any ball, so odds move quickly as well. BPL and IPL are played in this format, which is the most popular among Bangladeshi fans. Every Bangladesh match at the T20 World Cup draws special interest in the betting markets.
ODI: This 50-over format plays at a moderate pace. A team's overall plan and batting depth matter more here. Betting markets are built around run targets and the wicket equation.
Test: In this five-day format a draw is a valid result, so markets cover three possible outcomes — Team A wins, Team B wins, or draw. Pitch behaviour and weather play a major role in analysing Test betting.

Bet on football and more alongside cricket
Cricket is the main focus at pg ok, but markets for football and other sports are available too. The betting structure for cricket and football is somewhat different.
Football, like Test cricket, has three possible outcomes — win, loss, and draw. This means odds are often tight and the probability of each result can be close. Asian handicap and goals over/under markets are specific to football and do not exist in cricket.
Cricket has more runs- and wickets-based markets, such as top batsman or total runs in a specific over. This difference matters — a strategy that works in one sport may not carry over directly to another.

The 7 popular markets that are bet on the most
Each market needs to be understood on its own — some are based on runs, others on player performance.
Match Winner
Predicting which team will win the match. In T20 you bet between two teams; in Test there are three options including a draw. Example: if Team A is the favourite their odds will be lower, and if Team B is the underdog their odds will be higher.
Most familiarToss Winner
Betting on the toss result before the match starts. Each team's chance of winning the toss is generally close to even, so odds for both sides are similar.
Easy to startTop Batsman
A market on which batsman will score the most runs in an innings or across the full match. When there are several options within a team, the odds increase.
Performance basedTotal Runs Over/Under
The bookmaker sets a specific run total, for example 160. You bet on whether the total runs scored will be over or under that number. Pitch conditions and a team's batting strength are important in this market.
Runs basedMulti Bet
Combining multiple matches or markets into a single bet. If all selections are correct, the odds multiply for a larger return, but if even one is wrong the entire bet loses. A detailed example is in the odds section below.
High returnFirst Wicket Partnership
An over/under market on how many runs the two openers will score together before the first wicket falls. The strength of the bowling attack during the first powerplay influences this market.
Powerplay focusHandicap Betting
A virtual run advantage is given to the weaker team to level the contest. For example, if Team B is given a 20-run handicap, even if Team B loses, they are considered to have won on handicap as long as they lose by fewer than 15 runs.
Balanced marketDecimal, fractional and American odds together
Odds are written in three different formats. Although the format differs, all three express the same probability. The example below shows the same bet in all three formats.
| Format | Team A value | Result (on a ৳1,000 bet) |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | Return ৳2,250 (profit ৳1,250) |
| Fractional | 5/4 | Return ৳2,250 (profit ৳1,250) |
| American | +125 | Return ৳2,250 (profit ৳1,250) |
In the example above, if Team A wins, a ৳1,000 bet returns a total of ৳2,250 — that is your original stake back plus ৳1,250 profit. If you lose, ৳1,000 is gone. The calculation is the same in all three formats.
Favourite team example: if Team B is strong, their odds will be 1.80 in decimal, 4/5 in fractional, and -125 in American. A ৳1,000 bet on Team B winning returns a total of ৳1,800 (৳800 profit). American minus odds (-125) show how much you need to stake to win ৳100 — in this case ৳125.
How odds multiply in a multi bet
In a multi bet, the decimal odds of three selections are multiplied together to get the combined odds. Suppose your chosen odds across three separate matches are 1.40, 1.70, and 1.90.
Combined odds = 1.40 × 1.70 × 1.90 = 4.52 (approximate)
৳100 stake if all win, return = ৳452
If any one loses, the full ৳100 is lost.
A multi bet can return more, but the risk is also higher — every selection must be correct.
Odds shift the moment a wicket falls — how in-play betting works
Live or in-play betting means placing bets while the match is in progress. It is completely different from pre-match betting — odds can update after every single delivery.
Here is an example: before the match, Team A's odds to win were 2.00. If Team A loses two wickets in the first powerplay, their odds might rise to 3.50 — because the bookmaker now considers their chances of winning to be lower.
On the other hand, if Team A scores 90 runs in the first 10 overs, their odds might drop to around 1.30 — because their chances of winning are now much higher.
Key things to note in live betting:
- When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds go up
- A big over (maiden or boundary-heavy) shifts odds quickly
- If rain starts or D/L method is applied, markets may be temporarily closed
- In the final overs, the run rate and wicket count matter the most
In-play betting adds a different dimension to watching the game — but it should also be enjoyed responsibly.
Building good habits in cricket betting
Get to know one market well
Instead of playing across all markets at once, focus on one or two first. Starting with match winner or over/under keeps the maths simple.
Set a budget
Decide in advance how much you are willing to spend. Betting is entertainment — chasing losses by placing bigger bets is a harmful habit.
Do not rush in live betting
Odds move fast in in-play betting. Take a moment to think rather than making snap decisions driven by emotion.
Analyse by format
The same team can perform very differently in T20 and Test. Understand the format before choosing a market.
Follow responsible gambling rules
Betting is for entertainment, not a source of income. Learn more about responsible gambling and set your own limits.
Be careful with multi bets
Do not add too many selections to a multi bet chasing a big return — if any one selection is wrong, you lose everything.
